I Have a Dream
Ahah quoting Martin Luther King Jr. is always a good way to start a post, makes it sound all mighty and important!
I have a dream indeed, but it has nothing to do with Peace on Earth or the sorts. Actually it kinda does, because everybody knows that if there were only good microbreweries like Granby’s Le Grimoire everywhere, there wouldn’t be no wars, people would all be busy drinking and cheering with their friends at their local.
I discovered this microbrasserie in May last year during the Mondial de la Bière07 that took place in Place Bonaventure. Through the overcrowded frenzy suddently my eyes caught sight of a guiding light: Le Grimoire’s booth. Let me tell you something: it was love at first sight. I’m a big darker Scottish an Belgium beer fan.. but their beers made me proud to be Québécoise. (and thanks god, it was just in time, because stuff that came out that year, like ‘les têtes à claques’ and the movie ‘Horloge Biologique’, were starting to really eat away at my Québec Pride).
Since then has been germinating in my brain the idea of a one-day virée to Granby. But I wanted it to be a special moment and share it with loved ones.. need I say more?
I know that as for Concordians, your reading week is one week prior to K’s and mine (McGill’s), so I suggest we could do it one day during our common week-end off (Feb 23 or 24th).
Let me know what you guys think!!
